Frequently Asked Questions

Q.: I never wrote Certificate of  Qualifications Exam and would like to try. Is it worth to sit my C. of Q. Exam without preparation just to try to have a feel of the exam?

A.: No, I do not advise you to write your exam without preparation 'just to try'.You will spoil the very good option to pass from the 1st try.

Q.: Why you, not a college exam prep course?

A.: It is totally up to you. However, consider pros and contras. Any college exam prep course will cost you 399 tuition fee + 250 studying materials. You'll spend a lot of time by workday evenings and Saturday mornings trying to get into complicated studying materials being explained to you and other 20 guys in a classroom. These explanations will be given in common, considering average student abilities. If you miss something, are you sure you'll dare to ask to explain again? How can you be sure that you have been absorbed everything? Written tests? Come on! You'll cheat it from a smarter guy! Final test? Mostly, nothing in common with the real C. of Q. exam!

Q.: What can I get from you?

A.: For the same money, you will get real preparation with a personal touch from me. I use computers for fast and cost effective training. Every question is explained in details with a lots of images and PDF textbooks bookmarks. Additionally you have access to my on-line resource with detailed explanations. I always aware of the latest exams updates. Moreover, the most important part of my training is the drilling. You will go through my computerized  exam emulation to be sure you know everything.

Q.: What does 'Red Seal' mean?

A.:  Canadian Inter Provincial 'Red Seal' Program was introduced by the Canadian Government to provide greater mobility across Canada for skilled workers. Let say, you have Ontario Millwright 'Red Seal' Certificate of Qualification. It means this certificate (license, or ticket) must be accepted in Alberta, Manitoba, British Columbia and so forth.

Q.: I have failed the exam with the score of 65% or more. I have a feeling I  am very close to passing score (70%). Hopefully, next time I will pass  for sure. Do I need your training?

A.:  If you only knew, how many tradesmen came to me with the same stories.  My very first student  in January of 2003 had 3 fails with scores 66%,  68% and 69% consequently before passing after taking my course. This is a typical mistake. This exam is designed intentionally with  a certain amount  of really simple questions. These questions are enough for you to overstep 60% level but rest of the questions are really complicated and people are not able to overstep 70% score. The goal is to keep you trying. A few years ago it was 3 months time gap between tries and it was a single set of questions with few subsets. Now it's 16 days, but  every time you'll be given a different more complicated set of questions with many subsets available.

Q.: How do I have your training for free?

A.:  Many companies are ready to reimburse you the funds spent for your certification exam preparation and many people use this option. Why not you? Also I give the pack of papers: the letter addressed to the company with the outline of the program, and the receipt on amount spent on your training.
